Flower bulbs in a pot
Plant your flower bulbs in nice and cozy pots. You can then nicely decorate your terrace with beautiful colors. Normally you pot the flower bulbs in the autumn. You can get them to flower indoors in a greenhouse or outdoors. If you haven’t potted them up in the fall, no problem. Then buy them in bud or almost flowering from the garden center and put them in a nice pot. I plant them every year in the garden as well as in pots. Both for indoor and outdoor use. It immediately gives you the spring feeling.
Plenty of choice
Hyacinths and grape hyacinths in pots
There is plenty of choice. Those nice hip flower pots and beautiful colors around me make me happy. Grape hyacinths, daffodils, hyacinths, tulips, crocuses, etc. in beautiful colours.
Also nice to put them outside on a table in front of your window or on your balcony.
Make sure that your flower pot is not too small. For flower pots that you put outside, it is important that the water can drain away. A few potsherds at the bottom ensure that the excess water does not remain at the bottom of the pot.
Tip: You get a nice tuft of flowers if you plant them close to each other.
lasagna planting
Planting in layers is called “lasagna planting”. You plant several layers of flower bulbs one above the other in a pot. At the bottom go the bulbs that bloom last. Place early flowering bulbs such as snowdrops at the top of the pot. Check out my previously written blog post for more information about lasagna planting.
